Fact or Fiction: Snoop Dogg's Bowl, Best New B1G Team, UGA's Passing Game
© Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

In today’s Fact or Fiction, I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

1. Snoop Dogg’s boozy bowl sponsorship is okay.

Farrell’s take: FACT

“Gin and Juice” in college football? Why not. With more and more players getting more and more eligibility as COVID years never seem to run out and college football being an absolute money grab, who cares? I don’t. 20 years ago we would have never though a boozy bowl game could happen but now? Let’s do it.

2. Oregon is best prepared for the Big Ten transition.

Farrell’s take: FACT

Oregon went full contact in the spring game and have a very physical football team so they are much more prepared than a soft USC defense, a weak UCLA team and a super physical Washington team now in transition and losing a lot of their edge. Oregon will smack some Big Ten teams in the face much moreso than their brethren. Dan Lanning has this team ready to be one of the more physical teams in all of college football.

3. The UGA passing game will take a major step back.

Farrell’s take: FACT

UGA reloads, and I have them as my national title winner next season, but replacing Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers is going to be tough. Dominic Lovett is a kid I believe in, but after that, there are numerous question marks. Bowers, McConkey, and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint accounted for nearly 2,000 yards last season and the majority of the TDs. They will be hard to replace.
